What a day its been, feeling somewhat low, can’t really say what it is thats the problem, but I guess maybe my night was not so good. With the curfew and everything now in PHC , one learns to turn in early and end up waking up at about 2am just looking at the ceiling. That’s how my night was last night. The fun part of the day so far has been the chat I have been having with a chat with kemi, she obliged me when I buzzed her on the messenger, to ask questions about investing in mutual assurance funds, and we ended up chatting and then exchange blog addresses  I  think her blog is nice and she needs to do more posting, so I recommend you stop by @ http://www.kemireplenish.blogspot.com/ . For 6 days now PHC is a war zone, people die everyday and the Nigeria military says “they won’t use excessive force;” to stop militant clashes in the city, oh my God what kind of a country are we living in. The reports are everywhere, masked men on bike, spring up from different parts of the city shooting, the report says its cult groups fighting each other, but what’s the reason for this fighting ? Early this morning at about 5 am I heard explosions, later  that morning I was trying to get out early to beat the 7am deadline for commencement of environmental clean up exercise and met a road block at the slaughter axis of town, evidently they were some shooting  there already . I had to change my mind and direction and  decided to go to the office, where it’s a lot safer , as I write am getting different and even freighting reports of happens in certain part of old port harcourt town. This issue from the bigger perspective, it’s not just about the death of this young man or if NB plc should be dragged to court in a 100M law suit. Its about NB and other companies to become more responsive to the needs of Today’s Nigerian, I think a scholarship or some kind of youth development program will go a long way to achieve a far better thing for the common good of the Nigerian youths , than any”Ultimate” search would.
