2019 into 2020, crossing over to the next Decade.

It is the last day of 2019, we are here, we made it, still standing. Grateful Hearts! Into the Decade. It’s not just the end of a year, it’s also the end of one a decade and the beginning of another – December 2009 to December 2019 my whole life experiences can be described in one word, God is real. My last 10 years of existence in every way was an acknowledgement that there’s a God.   I saw manifold Growth/Progress in all aspects of life, Experienced undying Grace, walked in Blessings season after season, received Favour, shielded by Mercies, covered by divine Protection,   enjoy a Peace beyond understanding and yet faced multiple challenges after challenges that keep turning out learning experiences and working out for my good. I heard my Pastor say "2020 – came early", and indeed for me, it has.  It practically feels like it has already started within the last few weeks and days and hours of 2019. It’s already clear it will be an intense year – and shoul

Two weddings and the Jets

Early yesterday morning 28th December, I saw a rather strange sight, well over 70 people and counting, crowded at a check-in counter for a Maiduguri bound flight at the Abuja, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport(Domestic Terminal ) Wing -D. Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja Nigeria. Most of the men were dressed up in very nice looking flowing Agbada, and "rocking" the usual bama hats, the traditional cap, typically worn in the Northern parts of Nigeria but which has gained strong national appeal in recent years. Nigerian Bama Hats One thing was for sure, this group of travelers every single one male and female we're "decked out"putting on very nice traditional attires, but oddly enough I noticed none of these folks had any baggage that needs to be checked-in. What an odd set of travelers I thought, could they be going for hajj or something, I don't think so, cause some of them had on traditional attires from Southern and Western

HAPPINESS = HEALTH, FRIENDS AND MONEY

Health that I agree, but friends, or more like good friends or generally good people. That's the tricky part- truth be told, good friends, good people are just as scarce as good money - both in short supply - but who says we can't have good health, find good friends and make good money?  That's what I call "a part of the  #blessings " So In this season ⛄ when most would rather take or receive, or request. I learned a valuable lesson, I have just been gifted a surprise 10K, and I have never appreciated a kind gift like this in recent times. Not cause am broke or cause it was gifted in $ or £ or € but still in good old Nigerian naira. I am truly appreciative because it's Christmas and while some looked towards me to give and am extremely thankful I can even be counted worthy enough to give. This gentleman who gifted me 10K, on the other hand, thought he should be the one giving and guess what he is a Moslem, not Christian. So to Mr.

Driving Alive

Many years ago while in secondary school , I read a pamphlet on Defensive Drive, and one of the lines that I can still remember till this day is that " in driving 🚦 a vehicle 🚖, you the driver has to compensate for the mistakes/errors for pedestrians, the bad driving of motorcyclist, and even other car road users.  Be able to anticipate their mistakes or bad judgment before it happens and avoid them safely if possible.  Well, life has taught me, that this rule sort of works in dealing with people also. Life is all about relationships, you can't do life, without people, and I mean the good, the bad and the downright nasty people.  Learning to love & live with people of all types and kinds is like learning to drive defensively - you don't crash an "idiot" driver just to make a or prove a point, when they cut you off on the road 🔼, you protect yourself, and protect other people even the crazy ones who careless about you and trust me when I sa

On these streets

The chairman aka traffic warden, enjoys a hot afternoon in his box office. The lights 🚥 are red, as humpty, & dumpty who by the way has no licence plate, both seat comfy on the zebra 🦓 crossing, like it's a 100M dash 🏃 start off line, 😁 "on your marks"despite the big stop sign before the zebra crossing. Abuja, Nigeria 🇳🇬, things that make you go, hmmmmmm , the things we get away with in this our beloved country.. Irritatingly Funny

The Customers , Serve & Care.

Poor customer service is usual with many businesses locally (public & private ) from the Bank, to government offices, from waiting at the till in a supermarket to checking in for a flight or even having your parcels delivered to you, goods & service providers can treat you like they are doing you a favor for bringing business and your money to their organization. So when I get great customer service, it's sometimes worth documenting it here and recommending that service provider to You!. This week I want for a quick lunch at Nkoyo, a restaurant at Ceddi Plaza Abuja, Nigeria. Made my order and lunch was served promptly, I couldn't wait to chow down since I skipped breakfast. Just as I started chowing for some reason it turned out I  didn't like the fish I ordered, nothing really wrong with it, might just be the way it's marinated or all the spices didnt seat too well on my inside. So I nibbled on it and downed the side dish, a plate of jollof rice

un-Socially Pastor

To my socially unaware Christian and most importantly, friend, Mr. Pastor. Social Media is on melt down about what you are and who you represent, everyone has an opinion on the good, the bad and the down right ugly things about your believe system, but to you the socially ignorant but pure being,it really does not matter. A message to Pastor. Pastor, You are not active on social media, you are too busy Abi? And am not talking about having a page or profile , am talking about the contents of your thoughts and divine insights being populated online. Let me ask you a question? Do you even know what #metoo means? Oh,I see you want to now go to almighty Google to seek for an answer now, right ? You still pay millions to air church service broadcasts on Tv don't you? Your awed flocks and in some cases your sense of entitlement by virtue of your exalted position, and office puts you right up there with, "man-made gods". You will never share your glory with

Leave Yourself Alone..

Every now and then  find time to do one of the things I like to do - I leave myself alone! Nobody, No thoughts, No Worries, No Concerns - Naa! thing. Just Me , somewhere watching the world go by. I guess most people would call this, me time....

Take me to the alley

God Bless this man, Pastor. Tony  Rapu for this work and also bless the many, men /people of God who continue to do this "unto one of the least of the brethren" These words from " Gregory Porter " song - Take Me To The Alley, aptly captures this story- Well, they guild their houses in preparation for the KING 👑 And they line the sidewalks With every sort of shiny thing They will be surprised When they hear him say Take me to the alley Take me to the afflicted ones Take me to the lonely ones That somehow lost their way Let them hear me say I am your friend Come to my table Rest here in my garden You will have a pardon.
